Betty Flesher (EITS Volunteer since 2004). A long-time preschool teacher, Betty and Gabriele have been friends since  1980, when Betty became Gabriele's two son's first (pre-school) teacher. Betty has loved and cared for Tecolita, our last Western screech owl until she died (last year), and now cares for Puku, our new Screech owl, adopted last year.  There is something magical about these little "wood-elf owls" , miniatures of Great horned owls, but also prey  to them.
