Coni Edick has been with Eyes in the Sky since Summer 2002. Working with the birds at EITS changed her life in ways she never would have imagined! In addition to raptor handling and education, she trains and supervises other EITS volunteers, constructs leather anklets and jesses for our birds, and is a member of the EITS steering committee. She has additional wildlife experience with the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network, primarily performing raptor rescue and transport. Her wildlife training and education includes zoo docent training at the Santa Barbara Zoo, workshops with the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (IWRC), a college-credit course in ornithology at Santa Barbara City College, and a four-day workshop in the care and management of captive raptors at the University of Minnesota Raptor Center. Coni still can't quite believe her luck being around these incredible winged beings, and in repayment hopes she can "make a difference" by caring for them and sharing them with the world.
